So, as you know if you read my last post, my life has fallen into a rut. It's getting kinda boring, kinda slow. OK maybe more than kinda, maybe more like hugely boring and terribly slow.
There are however, a select number of things in my life right now that are great and fantastic and I wouldn't trade for a flobbitygillion dollars.
The first and most important thing is my lovely friends. They are insane and yesterday while doing yoga our conversation landed on us starring in our own soap opera and Kristi having and evil french twin with an evil french mustache whos only line would be "Croissant!". So, they get props for making my days suck considerably less.
The next thing would be my ipod. More specifically a few albums that I recently loaded onto my ipod. For example, Bob Dylan's 'Bringing it all Back Home' fucking great album. Can't stop listening to it. Also, Contra by Vampire Weekend. Pretty swell. Listening to the right music can make any situation awesome. Like staring out the window of a shitty bus that is taking you nowhere, figuratively, while listening to Saves the Day sing 'Through Being Cool'. Makes it seem a whole lot less shitty.
And number three, the prospect of what's to come. I mean if I thought about the time I have left in school in one big chunk I would probably die. So I think about it in terms of what's going to happen that is awesome. Like the fact that winterfest is on Friday. Or the fact that we're gonna road trip it down to Florida for spring break. Actually just the thought of warm weather pulls me through. Do you know what the temperature was today? 15 degrees. And, there is a literal blizzard outside the window. Goddamnit Michigan, why do you have to do this to me?
So I guess the moral is that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, a silver lining, blah blabbity blah blah. Also, high school blows.
Haha, that photo of cody is pretty fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for spring break, and all the sunshine and fun.
