An Ode to Snow

Oh snow. How I loathe you.
You fall constantly from the slate grey sky slowly building an army to throw cars from the roads and cause feet to lose their grip on the concrete.

You're a cold hearted jerk and I don't like the way you're always there. Outside my window, in the walkway to my house, covering the windows of my car.

Sure, you may have started out as lovely light flakes that we all celebrated.

It would snow and we would all gather around in awe.

But that has changed!

I don't know if you've heard, but we all hate you now. That's right!

We say it behind your back all the time. When we see those grey clouds rolling in we all roll our eyes and say to eachother "Great, more snow."

Why can't you stop hogging the spotlight, let the sun come back out and only come around for Christmas and a couple of snow days?

Basically snow...I don't think we can be friends anymore.

I have grown to resent you for falling steadily all evening then letting up all night just to make it so I would have to go to school today. I no longer laugh when I get a boot full of snow. Now, I want to kick you in the face. But you don't have a face. Because you are frozen rain.

So git outta heeah!

  1. Aww, poor snow! I hate driving in it, but I kinda like when we're off from work :) Ironically in the NY area it's rare for us to get a white Christmas. We're getting about a foot today though!

  2. I had so much snow where I live. I think it was over two feet, that's torture. Luckily, it's almost melted away now.
